About the creator
Elisha Ward is an Independent Social Worker who qualified in 2007. She has extensive frontline experience, including as a Local Authority Designated Officer (LADO) and Independent Chairperson. Since 2021, she has provided expert safeguarding supervision and consultancy to schools and other organisations.
After many years supporting schools, Elisha identified that children needed more tools to talk about their bodies, safety and boundaries and that staff needed clear, simple and effective guidance to support these conversations. The Body Safety Workbook was created to meet that need.
While resources such as the NSPCC’s Talk PANTS are an excellent introduction for younger children, schools often need something more advanced for Key Stage 2 and beyond. The Body Safety Workbook fills that gap, providing a structured yet flexible resource that moves from general awareness to meaningful, guided conversations.
The Brook Traffic Light Tool remains a valuable framework for recognising and categorising sexualised behaviours. However, when a child’s behaviour falls within the amber category, staff can sometimes feel unsure about what targeted support or direct work should look like in practice. The Body Safety Workbook offers that next step, an expert-led, ready-to-use tool that gives schools confidence and provides children with a safe space to understand body boundaries, consent and safety.
‘This workbook is the result of months of development, professional design and expert feedback. I am incredibly proud to share it with schools that want to create safer environments for children, both inside and outside of school.
Thank you for your purchase- my genuine aspiration is that this workbook supports both your children and your staff’.
